Come along on Sunday to the opening of the new season at Swinford Museum Filkins.
Open from 2.00pm until 5.00pm with cream teas from 2.30pm to 4.30pm available in the nearby Village Hall.
This year we have the support of Jennifer Skellington who has put together an excellent exhibition on ‘Music in the Community’ which in itself is well worth a visit. To compliment this the ladies from Filkins and BP are ringing their hand bells at 2.30pm, 3.00pm, and 4.00pm.
Other Exhibitions cover the use of horses in the village prior to tractors and ‘Dobbin’ is making his first appearance showing off the leather working harness used in the Filkins fields.
